Holidays at Last

I love the end of year break from school. We all need time to recharge the batteries ready for a new class of students in the new year. However there is another reason to enjoy the break. It is a time to reflect on what went well last year. A time to ask yourself :what changes do I want to make to your classroom environment and organisation, what direction do I want to take with your professional learning in the new year? Reflecting on our teaching practices is an important aspect of teaching. I saw the sign  above in a staffroom recently and it sums up my thinking. Our job is all about improving student outcomes and that is a weighty responsibility!
