Teaching students to integrate their understanding of the four spelling knowledges and a range of effective strategies as they put pencil to paper can make impressive improvement in students’ spelling accuracy. A repertoire of effective spelling strategies linked to the spelling knowledges are outlined with suggestions for classroom implementation through short conferences with a small group of students. The references in the course come from the Australian Curriculum and the NSW English syllabus K-6.
This course is the second in the series Teaching spelling. All courses stand alone and can be completed separately.
